We help professionals across the GCC region (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain) assess their eligibility for Canadian permanent residency and navigate immigration pathways.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use our eligibility assessment service at apply.rexgateimmigration.com (the "Service").

3.1 Information You Provide Through LinkedIn Sign-In

When you click "Sign in with LinkedIn to Check Eligibility," LinkedIn shares the following information with us, only after you explicitly approve the permission request:

  • Full name (as listed on your LinkedIn profile)
  • Email address (the primary email associated with your LinkedIn account)
  • Profile photo (the public profile picture URL from LinkedIn)
  • Locale (your language and country setting, e.g., en_US)
  • LinkedIn unique identifier (a non-personal ID used to recognize returning users)

We do not access your LinkedIn connections, messages, posts, work history, education, or any other private information beyond what is listed above.

3.2 Information You Provide Voluntarily

If you book a consultation, send us a message, or respond to our follow-up communication, you may provide additional information such as:

  • Phone number / WhatsApp number
  • Date of birth, nationality, education details, work experience, IELTS scores, and other immigration-related information (only if you choose to share these during consultation)
  • Preferred contact times and language

3.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect:

  • IP address (for security and fraud prevention)
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referrer URL (e.g., the Google Ad you clicked)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8)

  • Generate your estimated Canada Express Entry CRS score based on your LinkedIn profile data
  • Display personalized eligibility assessment results
  • Recommend appropriate immigration pathways

  • Follow up about your eligibility assessment via email, WhatsApp, and phone
  • Send you information about consultation booking
  • Provide updates on Canadian immigration programs relevant to your profile
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests

4.3 To Improve Our Service

  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our website and assessment tool
  • Identify and fix technical issues
  • Understand which marketing channels work best (e.g., which Google Ads campaigns)

4.4 To Comply With Legal Obligations

  • Meet record-keeping requirements under UAE law
  • Respond to lawful requests from authorities
  • Protect our rights, property, and safety

5. Legal Basis for Processing (UAE PDPL & GDPR)

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and similar regulations, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent: You explicitly consent to LinkedIn sharing your profile data with us, and to receive follow-up communications from us, by clicking the LinkedIn sign-in button.
  • Legitimate interests: We process limited data (such as IP addresses) to maintain website security and prevent fraud.
  • Contract performance: When you book a consultation, we process your data to deliver the service.
  • Legal obligation: We retain certain records as required by UAE law.

You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 9).


6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We share data only with the following categories of trusted parties, and only as necessary to provide our Service:

6.1 Service Providers (Data Processors)

  • Supabase — for secure database storage of your assessment data (data centers in the United States and European Union)
  • Vercel — for website hosting and infrastructure (global edge network)
  • Resend — for sending you transactional and follow-up emails
  • WhatsApp / Meta — when we contact you via WhatsApp Business
  • Google Analytics — for understanding website usage (anonymized where possible)

Each of these providers is bound by strict data protection agreements and processes your data only on our instructions.

6.2 Professional Advisors

  • Our Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and legal team — only when you book a consultation, and only the information you choose to share

6.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect our legal rights.


7. International Data Transfers

Because we use cloud providers based outside the UAE, your data may be transferred to and stored in the United States, European Union, or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

We ensure that all such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
  • Service provider commitments to data protection laws equivalent to UAE PDPL
  • Encryption of data both in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential cookies — to make the site work (e.g., authentication session after LinkedIn sign-in)
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our site
  • Marketing cookies — to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns

We do not use advertising cookies that track you across other websites for retargeting purposes.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent the LinkedIn sign-in feature from working.


9. Your Rights

Under UAE PDPL and similar data protection laws, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to deletion — request that we delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Right to object — object to certain uses of your data, including marketing
  • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing that already occurred)
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to lodge a complaint — file a complaint with the UAE Data Office or your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email support@rexgateimmigration.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days.


10. Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our Service and meet legal obligations:

  • Lead data (name, email, LinkedIn profile info, CRS estimate): 24 months from your last interaction, unless you book a consultation
  • Consultation client data: As long as your case is active, plus 7 years afterward (to comply with Canadian and UAE record-keeping requirements)
  • Website analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics default)
  • Marketing communication records: Until you unsubscribe, plus 12 months for compliance

After these periods, your data is securely deleted or anonymized.


11. Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information:

  • All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
  • Database storage at Supabase is encrypted at rest
  • Access to your data is restricted to authorized Rexgate team members on a need-to-know basis
  • We use industry-standard authentication (LinkedIn OpenID Connect)
  • Secrets and credentials are stored in encrypted environment variables, never in source code
  • Regular security reviews and updates

While we work hard to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we promise to notify you and the UAE Data Office promptly if a breach affects your personal information.


12. Children's Privacy

Our Service is intended for adults aged 18 and above who are evaluating Canadian immigration options. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please email support@rexgateimmigration.com and we will delete it immediately.


13. Marketing Communications

If you sign in with LinkedIn to use our assessment tool, you consent to receive follow-up communications from us via email, WhatsApp, and phone about:

  • Your eligibility assessment results
  • Booking a consultation with our immigration team
  • Canadian immigration program updates relevant to your profile
  • Promotional offers from Rexgate Immigration

You can opt out at any time by:

  • Clicking "Unsubscribe" in any of our emails
  • Replying "STOP" to any WhatsApp message
  • Asking our team to remove your number from our call list
  • Emailing support@rexgateimmigration.com

Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional communications related to a consultation you have booked.


14. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to other websites (such as Calendly for booking, or LinkedIn). This policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.


15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other reasons. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Notify you by email (if we have your email address) or via a banner on our website
  • For significant changes, ask for your renewed consent where required by law

16. Governing Law and Disputes

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, specifically the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

Any disputes arising from this policy or our handling of your data will first be addressed through good-faith discussion. If unresolved, they will be referred to the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
